TROUBLE MAKER
"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."-John Lewis
Not going to lie... this whole section of my website is because of a conversation I had with the Sam Christenson Studios class in Atlanta. I was asked to be a part of a Q&A. At the beginning of the class, everyone went around the Zoom introducing their "essence." I listened as each actor introduced themselves with their essence and about halfway through my Q&A, I said, "I'm a professional trouble maker."
And it kind of hung there in the back of my brain. THAT is EXACTLY who I am. As I listened to everyone in realtime I almost said "shape shifter" but I blurted out "I'm a trouble maker" and truer words were never spoken.
I've always been the person using art and using my voice to create change or a conversation.
Most recently, I've used my voice to support Stacey Abrams and Fair Fight Action with our "November is Coming" and "I Have Chosen to Stay and Fight" t-shirt sales thanks to the continuous "Boycott Georgia" rhetoric we face at least once a year.

Video in 2014 about The Religious Restoration Act.
#BoycottGeorgia began around 2014 when Joshua McKoon introduced the Religious Restoration Act.
Let's get one thing VERY straight... hashtag, "Boycott Georgia" coming from the west coast will NEVER be about laws against the LGBTQIA, voter suppression, or abortion... it will ALWAYS be about runaway production. Because Los Angeles doesn't like film leaving the thirty mile zone, yet, hasn't caught on to the fact there are not enough studios or parking lots for basecamp to handle ALL the filming required for all the networks and streamers.
In 2019, I launched THE LYSISTRATA PROJECT; a grass roots collective of Georgia artists and businesses, committed to raising awareness and funds for women’s charities affected by the HB 481. (Then known as "The Anti-Abortion Bill." We staged two benefit performances of LYSISTRATA in Savannah and Atlanta, and raised thousands of dollars for Planned Parenthood and The ACLU of Georgia.
