ADULT SCENE STUDY
In 2016, we launched Base Camp: Savannah, as a series of workshops and classes to teach acting and screenwriting in Savannah.
Beginning September 18, we will launch the next series of scene study work, "Make a Connection."
Class will meet over Zoom for two hours, once a week for four weeks. (September 18 - October 9) - 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST. This Cycle is currently in progress. CURRENTLY ACCEPTING DROP-IN STUDENTS!$30/ Class (Please state which week you would like to attend) Each week, students will work from each week from provided sides, one on one with constructive criticism, followed by redirect. Each week, we will discuss how to make "making a connection" in approaching the scenework. This is an actors workout, where big, bold choices are encouraged. As previous students will share, you learn so much from watching others. Each team will receive specifically curated critiques and redirects, along with exercises to use for the next round. Partipants will work in pairs, and be spotlighted in Zoom for presentation, critique and redirect.

- Week One: "As Seen on TV." - Participants will work in pairs on material previously performed in film and television, but encouraged to make new, bold choices and explore new intentions, with a partner they have not met.
- Week Two: "The Play is The Thing" - Participants will work from contemporary stage plays. Participants will have the option to rehearse in advance over Zoom during the week with their scene partners.
- Week Three: (October 2) "I Have No Idea What is Happening Here" - Ever get a scene and you legit have no idea what is happening? You'll find a meaning and make choices to fit the tone. Participants will be sent dummy sides, and the title of a previously completed series to match tone and make choices, based on that show.
- Week Four: (October 9) "Trade Secrets Family Hour(s)" - Participants will work directly with students from the previous cycle's screenwriting workshop, to bring their scenes to life. Participants will have the option to rehearse in advance over Zoom during the week with their scene partners.
